Annotation: Optimization of the urban route network of the passenger transport is an urgent task, as it is one of the important methods for solving transport problems in many cities of the Russian Federation. With this purpose there has been conducted a survey of passenger traffic, the results of which are used to analyze the data obtained and to develop the main directions for optimizing the route network of public urban transport in the city of Michurinsk. As a result an optimized route scheme of the public transport network of the city of Michurinsk is proposed.
